Insulated glass is a kind of energy efficient building materials, could help save air conditioner cost in the summer, and save heat cost in the winter, which is produced by combined two or more panes glass together and separated by aluminum spacer and sealed together at the edges.

The insulating airspace is filled with dry air or noble gas, such as argon or krypton inside to slow the heat exchange and reduce noise levels. The aluminum spacer is filled with silica desiccant pellets to ensure removal of any moisture in the airspace. The edges are sealed with very good sealant to make sure no leakage.

Low-E glass, or low-emissivity glass, was created to minimize the amount of infrared and ultraviolet light that comes through the glass, without minimizing the amount of light that enters inside. And the Low-E glass has a microscopically thin coating that is transparent and reflects heat, which could keep the temperature in indoor consistent by reflecting the interior temperatures back inside.
